John Stewart is Dallas United’s long time treasurer. He has literally run the financial operations
of the organization for years with minimal support in addition to playing for
Crude and playing a central role in organizing and running Texas2Finger. Those of us involved in the organization will
never be able to thank him enough for his work over the years. However, now we have the opportunity to
reciprocate the kind of selfless support he has given us.
The week before Texas Sectionals, John was diagnosed with cancer. Tests done the week before sectionals revealed that John had Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He started chemo last Thursday, October 1st. Luckily, John has told us that with enough strength and support, his chances of fighting back the disease are better than most.
